Metro24News, Personal Correspondent || Police arrested two young men in the Mokamtala area of Shibganj upazila in Bogura, recovering 2 kilograms of cannabis during a checkpoint operation.According to police sources, the operation was carried out at around 1:20 am on Wednesday on the Rangpur–Dhaka highway, in front of Mir & Rubel LPG Auto Gas Station in Muradpur village under Mokamtala union.During the operation, police searched a suspicious bag and recovered 2kg of cannabis.The arrested individuals have been identified as Ashraful Islam (28), son of Shahjahan Ali, from South Anantapur village under Phulbari upazila in Kurigram district, and Momin Hossain (21), son of Farhad Ali, from South Ramkhana village under Nageshwari upazila of the same district. A black school bag was also seized from their possession.Police said that Ashraful Islam has two previous drug-related cases against him.Legal action against the accused is currently underway.
